When Fred Weasley comes up on Tinder, swipe left.

One user of the dating app — supposedly a 22-year-old named Trent — thought he’d score some matches by using photos of Harry Potter star James Phelps in his profile.

But his plan backfired when an observant fan of the actor recognized that Trent’s photo just happened to be the same as Phelps’ profile picture on Twitter.

“When a guy tries to catfish you on Tinder but @James_Phelps was your childhood crush,” the savvy Tinder user tweeted, sharing a screenshot of the imposter’s profile.

Phelps, 31, got wind of the situation and clarified that he was not on the dating app.

“Oh dear…. For the record folks I am 100% NOT on tinder….Nor is my name Trent,” he wrote in response on Monday.

During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Charlize Theron revealed that her friend Chelsea Handler had introduced her to the wild world of online dating.

“She was on her phone and she showed it to me and she was explaining it to me in that Chelsea Handler way, which is just like, ‘Yeah, everybody’s doing this. What’s wrong with you? Where have you been, under a rock?’ ” Theron explained.

“So then I took real interest, and I was like, ‘Okay, well tell me, how does it work?’ And she’s swiping all these faces of guys in all different sorts of — I’m going to sound like I’m 80. But they’re in all sorts of different variations of no clothes, and then they know that you’ve just said no, I don’t like you.”

Hilary Duff previously confirmed that her Tinder profile was real while Khloé Kardashian had a dating profile on OkCupid, which her best friend set up for her.

“I’ve never done online dating before, but just for s—- and giggles, Malika and I decided to fill one out,” she said. “It was actually really fun to do, LOL!”
