CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- The Montgomery County grand jury has indicted a man and woman charging them with robbing and killing a Clarksville man.
Eric Lamar Caffey, 26, and Amber Lynn Tanner, 24, are both charged with first-degree felony murder and aggravated robbery for allegedly shooting and killing 42-year-old Christopher John Young.
At 12:35 a.m., on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, Clarksville Police (CPD) were dispatched to the 2800 block of Cobalt Drive due to multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting.
Witnesses gave a description of the shooter and said he approached the victim’s SUV and yelled, “Give me your (expletive),” before hitting the victim in the face multiple times and then pulling out a pistol and shooting him several times, according to a previous article.
When officers arrived, they found Young with multiple gunshot wounds.
Caffey, of Hanceville, Ala., was located and arrested in Dodge City, Kansas in early August.
Tanner is accused of providing transportation to Caffey to commit the crimes and flee.
Detectives were able to see Tanner’s car fleeing the scene on several video surveillance systems in the area.
The two will be arraigned in Circuit Court in early September.
