In an E! News featurette, Ashley said she was, “so excited,” when she heard Disney wanted to make a movie.

She said, “I love playing Candace, so when I heard that we were doing this movie, I was just so excited.”

The series ran from 2007 to 2015, around the same time Ashley was starring in High School Musical.

The Sharpay actress recalled, “At one point, I was doing the High School Musical movies, I was on tour for High School Musical, and still recording Phineas and Ferb.”

“So it just is something that I’ve always had so much fun doing.”

She admitted she had a much higher voice when she first started playing the role.

The Cheaper By The Dozen star said the line that gets her back into character is, “Hey Phineas, whatcha dooooin’?”
