Leigh-Anne Pinnock has shared details of fiance Andre Gray’s proposal, which took place in May during lockdown.
The Little Mix star, 29, spoke alongside the professional footballer for Bumble’s ‘My Love Is…’ podcast on Thursday, and she gushed he ‘absolutely smashed it’.
Explaining the moment Andre got on one knee, Leigh-Anne said he ‘set up candles like something out of a movie.’

Detailing how the pair were watching a movie at the time, she said: ‘then it cut out and there was pictures of us, it was playing our song, then the screen changed to “Will you marry me?” and he was on one knee.’
Andre said he had been planning to pop the question to Leigh-Anne for quite some time, but struggled after the UK’s first lockdown was put into place in March.
He also said his sister stepped in to help him pull of the proposal, making sure he could make the moment as romantic as possible.

Leigh-Anne and Andre were talking as part of Bumble’s #MyLoveIsBlackLove campaign, and the singer said she ‘doesn’t think there is enough representation of Black Love.’
She explained: ‘So much positivity comes from seeing it on our screens and in the media. There is so much work to do and it needs to be celebrated more.’
The happy couple announced their engagement while celebrating their fourth anniversary as a couple.

Taking to Instagram, footballer Gray posed alongside his fiancée as she showed off her diamond engagement ring shortly after accepting his proposal, while adding the caption: ‘Let the caption speak for itself this time… Hasta la muerte.’
Shortly after, Leigh-Anne commented on the news herself, writing: ‘Guys.. wtf has just happened… He bloody did it, and I said yes…
‘I’m marrying my soul mate, the man of my flipping dreams… I am lost for words, so I think I’m just going to go cry some more @andregray_ I love you so much. My world is literally complete’.
The couple, who started dating in 2016, will marry after the Watford striker stunned Leigh-Anne by getting down on one knee during their anniversary celebration.

In a second image shared with his 120,000 followers, the singer is seen covering her face in disbelief as he presents her with the ring.
Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne’s Little Mix bandmate, was among the first to respond to the happy news, commenting: ‘Congrats you beauties.’
Leigh-Anne previously dated Ashford Town FC footballer Jordan Kiffin for four years before the couple separated in 2016.
She has also been romantically linked with Cover Drive bassist Jamar Harding.
