A modern-day Romeo, looking for love in all the wrong places, has hired a roadside billboard in an attempt to land himself a date.
Mark Rofe, 30, was fed up with the rigmarole of the dating app game so he decided to take matters into his own hands by buying the sign.

The British man paid $800 for the massive billboard along a Manchester road, that’s complete with a picture of the lothario.
His image is accompanied by the tagline “Single? Date Mark” – there’s no messing around here it seems.
“This could be the sign you are waiting for,” the billboard also states.
Over the likes of Tinder and Bumble, Mark has also set up a webpage that potential suitors can head to called DatingMark.co.uk.
“The dating apps weren’t working, so I bought a billboard and set up a website to stand out and try get a date,” he said on Twitter.
On his website, Mark describes himself as six foot (182cm), with two friends and from Sheffield.
He also adds that he’s kissed more than three girls and his index finger is 6.82cm.
“I’m Mark, an extremely handsome and modest 30-year-old living in Sheffield,” he explains.
The dating hopeful said that like any good idea – it started off it the pub with his mates, the BBC reports.
“Like any good idea it started off in the pub,” he said.
“I was talking to my mate saying how I was struggling on all these dating apps and I joked that I should put my face on a big billboard.

“We laughed about it but then actually I thought what a good idea.”
According to his website, Mark has now had 1004 applications – proving that his idea appears to be working.
“I tried to make it funny so hopefully I don’t come across as a desperate loser,” he said.
