A WOMAN who set up a joke GoFundMe page after being called fat on a Tinder date has made £2,000 in donations from kind strangers.

We previously revealed how Jade Savage, 28, spent three-and-a-half hours and £93 travelling to see a bloke she had met online but he insulted her as she walked out of the train station.

The creep, 27, told curvy size-14 Jade she had “put some weight on” and accused her of looking nothing like she had on a previous date — just four weeks earlier.

So mum-of-one Jade set up a GoFundMe page as a joke and said she was hoping to get back the money she’d wasted on the experience.

On the site, the single mum has raised £919 so far, and Bumble said they would match donations so she’s not put off dating, to bring a total of £1,838.

Jade, who has a four-year-old son called Jimmy, added to the Mirror: “It’s incredible. I didn’t think it would go this far but I don’t regret calling him out on his behaviour.

“And I’m not going to let one guy’s silly comments stop me from going on dates. I’m happy with the way I look and hadn’t had any complaints before.”

Jade said she’ll donate some to charities to help prevent suicide and abused women.

Jade had already been having a bad day before the date in Peterborough, which is 41 miles from her home in Syston, Leics, because she missed the coach from Leicester and had to get a train.

The pair, who had been out together a few times before, were meant to be going for drinks but the rendezvous was over in just five minutes.

She said: “I was chatting to him on the phone when I got to the train station, waiting for him to pick me up.

“That’s when he said, ‘F*** me, you have put some weight on haven’t you?’ I was like, ‘No, you can’t say that.’

“It was clear he wanted to call the whole thing off but I still hoped we could have a nice time so we went to his car.

“But he said, ‘I can say it, it’s a fact. You have put weight on, so therefore I can joke about it.’

“I called him a pr*** but he then went berserk and said, ‘You what, you think I’m a pr***?’

“He drove me back to the station and told me I had put him in a bad mood and that I had to go home.”

She then waited another hour to get the train home — and set up the funding page while she had a £5 glass of wine at the station.

Care support worker Jade, whose costs also included taxis to and from home, added: “My mates were laughing with me, saying, ‘You’ve paid £90 to go to Peterborough, be called fat and then get sent home.’

“It was the worst and shortest date I’ve been on.”
