Camillus man charged with raping woman he met on Tinder; may be other victims | #tinder | #pof

Camillus, N.Y. — A Camillus man was arrested Tuesday after deputies say he raped a woman he met earlier this month on the dating app Tinder.

Byron Felton, 30, of Camillus, is accused of raping the woman inside his Gordon Parkway home on June 3, said Onondaga County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jon Seeber, a department spokesman.

Felton was charged with first-degree rape and first-degree criminal sex act, both felonies.

He was arraigned Tuesday evening and is currently being held in the Onondaga County Justice Center on $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond.

Deputies released Felton’s mugshot because there may have additional victims, Seeber said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the department’s Abused Persons Unit at (315) 435-3092.
