Illawarra business women celebrated the success of all business women at the 12th annual IWIB Business Women’s Awards Day on Friday, July 31.

This year was a very different style of celebration, adhering to strict COVID-19 regulations for running the event as well as the Awards presentation, being totally contactless.

Thanks to the expertise of Relativity the event was live-streamed on the Illawarra Women in Business’s Facebook page, as numbers attending the event at Villa D’oro were limited taking into account the 4sqm rule.

IWIB director, Glenda Papac said, “The Awards were open to enter pre-COVID, and we were pleased with the number of finalists who remained in the Awards process once COVID lockdown commenced and their business models had completely changed.

“We saw innovation in the way these people were running their businesses, staying connected and active. These Awards were an important day for our finalists, giving them some positivity and recognition for their achievements and success.

“When entering an award you look at where you have been in the past 12 months, where you are now and where you want your business to be heading in the future.

“IWIB Award winners have gone onto success at the business chamber awards, and have then gone on to success at state and national levels! Entering The IWIB Awards is a journey and you just never know where it will take you.”
