Celebs Go Dating pauses filming after positive COVID-19 test | #facebookdating | #tinder | #pof

Celebs Go Dating has halted filming following a positive coronavirus test.

The upcoming series created a bubble for the cast, thanks to a luxury hired mansion in Surrey where they’re holed up together, but production has been put on hold after an unnamed person involved with the show contracted COVID-19.

A spokesperson for the reality show told Digital Spy: “Celebs Go Dating filming has paused temporarily as we await further information regarding a recent routine COVID test which had in the first instance returned positive.

“The result was unexpected since the individual had quarantined prior to entering the house, had been regularly receiving negative results in all testing and has since had four negative results. The individual and all of those living in the house are now isolating while we await the results of further testing and continue to consult with our medical experts.”

They continued: “The welfare and safety of everyone involved in the making of the show is our immediate priority. Strict COVID-19 protocols and industry guidelines have been adhered to throughout the production and filming will not resume until we are reassured it is safe to do so.”

Fans can expect awkward encounters and romantic shenanigans from the likes of Love Island star Curtis Pritchard, former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Karim Zeroual, Geordie Shore‘s Chloe Ferry, and Coronation Street actress Kimberly Hart-Simpson when the new episodes finally arrive.

Completing the line-up are club owner Wayne Lineker (brother of Gary), Made in Chelsea‘s Sophie Hermann and DJ Tom Zanetti.

Celebs Go Dating is currently scheduled to return to E4 in early 2021.
