Co Kildare Judge warns woman in court today ‘online dating is not a good idea’

A Co Kildare  Judge is advising people that online dating is ‘not a good idea.’

This warning comes as a Midlands woman came before Naas Family Law today, outlining serious concerns surrounding a man that she had met online.

The Midlands woman  told the court how she has just discovered that the man she has been seeing online is father to a newborn baby.

She told the court how the accused cut a key to her house without her permission.

Over the weekend, she told the court how the accused is alleged to have thrown an ash-tray at her and jumped on her bed.

She called the Gardaí who asked him to leave the house.

In court, she said: “I told him it was over, he threw an ash-tray at me.”

She outlined how for two days, the accused parked outside her home and that there was a ‘smell of alcohol’ from him.

Judge Desmond Zaidan said: “Online dating, it is not a good idea.”

The injured party responded: “Never again. I can’t sleep.”

Judge Zaidan imposed an interim protection order, the accused has been ordered to appear before Naas Family Law Court on November 27, next
