A Co Kildare Judge is advising people that online dating is ‘not a good idea.’
This warning comes as a Midlands woman came before Naas Family Law today, outlining serious concerns surrounding a man that she had met online.
The Midlands woman told the court how she has just discovered that the man she has been seeing online is father to a newborn baby.
She told the court how the accused cut a key to her house without her permission.
Over the weekend, she told the court how the accused is alleged to have thrown an ash-tray at her and jumped on her bed.
She called the Gardaí who asked him to leave the house.
In court, she said: “I told him it was over, he threw an ash-tray at me.”
She outlined how for two days, the accused parked outside her home and that there was a ‘smell of alcohol’ from him.
Judge Desmond Zaidan said: “Online dating, it is not a good idea.”
The injured party responded: “Never again. I can’t sleep.”
Judge Zaidan imposed an interim protection order, the accused has been ordered to appear before Naas Family Law Court on November 27, next
