Unlucky in love actor Dean Gaffney is reportedly in talks to join E4 dating show Celebs Go Dating, with the show breaking their record with his whopping fee.
Dean, 41, played Robbie Jackson in EastEnders on and off for 30 years, but was axed last month amid a string of embarrassing incidents for the troubled star.
It emerged he had pestered a woman ‘young enough to be his daughter’ with questions about her breasts and buttocks.
Theresa Hayman, 26, leaked screenshots of messages he had sent her begging for explicit photos on Facebook .
She is only four years older than his twin daughters Chloe and Charlotte.
And before that, he had turned to dating apps after being dumped by his girlfriend of three years, who was 16 years younger than him.
Model Rebekah Rose, 25, gave the soap star the elbow back in March amid claims she was bored of “feeling like a trophy on his arm.”
So Dean turned to dating app Bumble, where women have to make the first move, but he had no luck there.
Before Rebekah, Dean was married to childhood sweetheart Sarah Burge, who is the mother of his children.
During an appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2006, Dean confessed to fellow contestant David Gest that he had cheated on Sarah.
He also once admitted he’d lost track of the number of women he’d slept with because he bedded so many hot girls at the height of his EastEnders fame.
This chequered past could make for fascinating viewing if he joins Celebs Go Dating and tries to find love once again.
According to The Sun, E4 have offered more money than they have ever offered a celeb to go on the show.
A source said: “Dean has been in the limelight as Robbie for decades, but now he wants to show everybody the real him.
“He’s nervous about it but Celebs Go Dating would also give him the opportunity to find true love and someone who really cares about him after leaving EastEnders again earlier this year.
“Dean has spoken to his daughters and they have given him the green light – the last thing he wants to do is embarrass them but they have told him to go for it and want him to find happiness again.
“Bosses also know that he will be TV gold – it’s thought this could be the biggest pay cheque that Celebs Go Dating have ever dished out to get him to sign on the dotted line.”
Also rumoured to be joining the show are This Morning’s Alison Hammond, Mel B, Love Island’s Amy Hart and Hollyoaks’ Malique Thompson-Dwyer.
