EastEnders‘ Dean Gaffney has often been the main talking point in this year’s series of Celebs Go Dating – and in tonight’s episode (March 17), he was again drawing attention for all the wrong reasons.
In a bid to impress his new date Ash, the Robbie Jackson actor sensationally/outrageously/alarmingly decided to perform a rap.
After being asked for his signature from a waitress, Dean revelled in the fact that Ash got to see someone acknowledge his fame – but he was keen to prove that he could do more than just act.

“She’s aware of my reputation as an actor, but what she doesn’t know is that acting isn’t my only skill,” he said to the camera.
“Have you ever seen 8 Mile?” he asked Ash during their date. “They have to spit, they have to rap battle. It comes off the cuff.”
Terrifyingly, he then proceeded to come up with his own rap.
It went: “Hi, my name’s Dean, I like baked beans, because I sometimes wear jeans, to meet someone called Ash, she’s got hair, and her hair colour’s blonde Ash.”
Astounded, Ash replied: “Okay, so I think we can officially say no more rapping for you.”
No-one was hurting during the performance of his rap.
Elsewhere during the episode, dating expert Paul Carrick Brunson made a rather unfortunate EastEnders blunder when he accidentally referred to Robbie Jackson’s dog Wellard as “Hard-on”, sending fellow dating professional Anna Williamson into a laughing fit.
Celebs Go Dating airs on E4.
