JASPER — Even though the 2020 Jasper Strassenfest is canceled, the Dubois County Museum will keep the spirit of Strassenfest alive by exhibiting from July 30 through August its collection of Strassenfest articles from the past years of Strassenfest.

The museum’s exhibit team will display the complete sets of Strassenfest mugs, buttons and programs, dating back to the beginning of the Strassenfest. The 2020 mug and button will be added to the collection.

Due to COVID-19, the Saturday, Aug. 1, programs planned with Richard Day on education in southern Indiana and a special schoolhouse program in the museum’s schoolhouse have been canceled.

The museum, at 2704 N. Newton St., will be open normal hours  from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. The museum is closed Monday. For more information, call 634-7733 or visit www.duboiscountymuseum.org. The museum is also on Facebook and Twitter.
