Friends icon Matthew Perry is engaged to girlfriend Molly Hurwitz.
The 51-year-old sitcom star gushed about his new fiancee, 29, to People Magazine, calling her the ‘greatest woman on the face of the planet.’
‘I decided to get engaged,’ he told the outlet. ‘Luckily, I happened to be dating the greatest woman on the face of the planet at this time.’
Hurwitz, who is a literary manager, confirmed that the pair were officially a couple back on Valentine’s Day by sharing a sweet post on social media.
‘Second year being my valentine, but his first as an Instagram influencer. HVD to my favorite,’ she wrote to Matthew to celebrate the holiday.
Along with the talent manager’s loving words was a photograph of Matthew appearing to be sound asleep, while cradling a bright yellow smiley face balloon.
The same image is currently being used as Perry’s Instagram profile icon. The thoughtful posting was featured on Hurwitz’s private page.
But, his relationship had become public knowledge several months before that when they were spotted out together.
Last November, he and Molly were photographed being affectionate together outside a restaurant in West Hollywood.
The couple spent the 2019 Holiday season together in Los Angeles at Perry’s $35million Century City apartment in Los Angeles.
At the time, Hurwitz shared a photograph of herself and the Friends alum to Instagram, labeling him as her ‘boyfriend’ in the post’s caption.
She wrote: ‘According to my parents’ custody agreement, my mother was not allowed to have a Christmas tree… Fortunately, there’s no such agreement for a daughter’s boyfriend, so Hurwitz gets a treeeeeeee!!!.
Meanwhile, Matthew and Molly were reported to have split earlier this year, after sources reported they’d gone their separate ways in May. An insider said: ‘It happened very recently.
‘It was very amicable, but they have both decided to go their separate ways.’
It’s not known if the couple did split but since reunited, or if the breakup rumours were false, but friends of the couple insisted he’d finally found the one in Molly.

This will mark the first marriage for Perry, who is famous for playing loveable and sarcastic Chandler Bing in Friends.
However, he has had several highly publicized romances with notable names.
Perry briefly dated Baywatch star Yasmine Bleeth in 1995 and then moved on to Oscar winner Julia Roberts from 1995 to 1996.
He has also dated Neve Campbell, Heather Graham and Maeve Quinlan.
His longest relationship was with actress Lizzy Caplan from 2006-2012.
After several years out of the spotlight, Perry is set to join his former co-stars for the highly-anticipated and long-awaited Friends reunion which has been sidelined by COVID-19.
Earlier this month the TV star tweeted: ‘Friends reunion being rescheduled for the beginning of March. Looks like we have a busy year coming up. And that’s the way I like it!’
It first got the greenlight in February 2020 with a film date of March 2020.
Originally, the reunion was supposed to debut May 2020 as part of HBO Max’s launch.
Earlier this year, the sitcom was yanked off of Netflix ahead of its new home, at WarnerMedia’s streaming platform, HBO Max.
After the COVID-19 pandemic arrived and the world went on lockdown, production for the special shut down March 18, as did all other shows/films shut down as well.
HBO Max announced in April that the show would not be filmed in time to debut by the streaming service’s launch date.
The sit-down special was pushed back to a film date in August 2020.
The team at HBO Max as well as the beloved stars of Friends – Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry – all want the show reunion to be in person.
