Actors Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston haven’t been a couple for more than 15 years. But fans still can’t get enough of seeing them interact. Fortunately, they’re about to get that chance. Here’s a look at their latest endeavor, as well as their past on-screen appearances together.
Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were married for years
Pitt and Aniston began dating in the late ’90s. Both were rising stars, with Aniston breaking out due to the immense popularity of her NBC sitcom, Friends, and Pitt making a big splash in Hollywood via films such as Fight Club and Seven Years in Tibet. They got married in July 2000.
Aniston and Pitt’s relationship was major tabloid fodder. Everywhere they went, the paparazzi followed. They attended award shows and other show business events together and were considered one of the golden couples of the era. This made it extra hard on fans when they split in 2005.
They each remarried, but fans always wanted them back together

Both actors moved on with other celebrities. Pitt was quickly linked to his Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie. The couple deemed Brangelina stayed together for 10 years but split up in 2016 after a couple of years of marriage. Aniston married Justin Theroux, her Wanderlust co-star. They separated in late 2017.
Even before their respective breakups, there were always fans that wanted Aniston and Pitt to reunite. So imagine their joy when the former couple was spotted hanging out at 2020 award shows. But it was entirely platonic, as Pitt called her “a good friend” ahead of the Golden Globe Awards.
Aniston joins Pitt’s table read of ‘Fast Times at Ridgemont High’
Perhaps there’s no romance left between the former spouses. But given their kind words about one another, it’s not surprising that they’re teaming up for a star-studded occurrence. A table read of the 1982 film Fast Times at Ridgemont High taking place on August 21, 2020, brings them together — virtually.
Aniston was previously attached to the event, which can be watched on TikTok or Facebook via Core Response, an organization co-founded by Fast Times star Sean Penn. The table read will raise money for COVID-19 relief. Other celebrities involved include Dane Cook, Morgan Freeman, and Julia Roberts.
They’ve only worked together once in the past
Both Pitt and Aniston began dating their more recent partners after working with them on films. However, they became a couple after being set up through their agents a few years after they first met. But Aniston and Pitt did end working on a project together during their marriage.
Pitt had a guest role in one season 8 episode of Friends, titled “The One With the Rumor.” He played Will, a former classmate of Rachel, Monica, and Ross. Pitt’s character has a vendetta against Aniston’s, and he reveals that he and Ross started a rumor about her in high school (thus the title of the episode).
