Multi-Agency Human Trafficking Operation Results in the Arrest of Two Suspected Pimps and Trafficker.

ANDERSON, Calif. – Anderson police said they made arrests on Saturday after they conducted an operation utilizing known prostitution websites to set up meetups so that they could bust pimps and sex traffickers at a local hotel.

Anderson Police said they asked other law enforcement agencies to assist in the operation targeting human sex traffickers with a focus on providing resources to suspected victims. Saturday at 5:00 p.m. the investigators saw two females arrive at the hotel for what they say was “the purpose of prostitution.”

The females have only been identified only as a 22-year old from Yuba City and a 17-year-old from Hayward.

The women were detained inside of a hotel room by law enforcement as 28-year-old Ravanaur Gohleston of Yuba City was found in the passenger seat of the vehicle they had arrived in.

Gohleston was arrested for pimping and pandering to both the 22-year-old and the 17-year-old. He was also charged with the human trafficking of a minor, which officers said could lead to a life sentence if there is a conviction. Police said they believe from their investigation that Gohleston was “using forms of control to specifically pimp and pander the 17-year-old female.”

Gohleston was booked into the Shasta County Jail and the bail amount was increased to $250,000, said police.

The adult woman was also offered resources and was later released from the scene of the alleged sex trafficking.

After all this was over, at approximately 10:00 p.m., a 24-year-old woman from Stockton arrived at the hotel for what officers believed was for the “purpose of prostitution.”

She was detained inside of a hotel room while officers arrested 25-year-old Jonathan Lee of Stockton, who officers said was the driver of the vehicle she had arrived at the hotel in.

Officers said they had determined during their investigation that Lee was “pimping and pandering” the woman. They said Lee was on CDCR Parole out of Stockton.

Lee was arrested for his parole violation and for pimping and pandering to an adult. The woman was provided with resources and then released from the scene.

The agencies that participated in this operation were the Anderson Police Department, Shasta County District Attorney’s Office, Shasta County Sheriff’s Office, Shasta County Probation Department, Shasta County Children’s Services, Children’s Legacy Center, and Federal Allied Agencies.
