Alexa Bliss begs WWE fans to be wary of imposters and catfish scams | #datingscams | #lovescams

Alexa Bliss has warned WWE fans about fake social media profiles set up to scam them out of money.

The former Raw Women’s Champion, who is currently looking to regain the title from current champ Bianca Belair, has taken to social media to post an out of character video urging fans to be careful when it comes to cruel imposters looking to take advantage.

In a video on Twitter, she said: ‘I hate that I have to keep saying this, but I will say it over and over again. Y’all, I have one TikTok, one twitter and one Instagram and they are all the ones with the checkmarks on them.

‘I don’t have “personal pages”, and I don’t have “messaging apps”. So, anyone that thinks they are talking to me on any of those, I promise you one thousand percent, you are not.’

The 31-year-old star pointed out she’d never ask her fans for cash, and noted some people have even been convinced they are ‘dating’ Alexa after chatting to a scammer.

‘I would never ask anyone for money or gift cards, so anyone that is pretending to be me – one, stop all communication, especially if they’re pretending to be me, and if they’re asking you for money or gift cards,’ she continued.

‘Or if they think that we are dating. I am happily married. I just hate that I have to keep saying this over and over and over again, but I’m gonna keep repeating it until, I guess, it sinks in.’

As well as scams, Alexa has also been vocal against social media trolls and the often ‘heartbreaking’ level of abuse they fire at people.

The former women’s champion has been forced to deal with vile social media abuse over the years, and she urged people to be more mindful of the ‘person behind the character’.

She exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘I feel like a lot of people don’t really understand – nine times out of 10 when you see us performing, we are going on no sleep, we are going on beat up bodies because we do travel four, five, six days a week.

‘We are emotionally exhausted, we are mentally exhausted, we are physically exhausted but we are doing it to entertain everyone else.’

Recently, Alexa’s fellow Raw star Mia Yim deleted her Twitter account temporarily after receiving abuse from fans over an innocent professional photo taken with United States Champion Austin Theory, as some trolls suggested her husband Keith Lee might not be happy.

‘Ok, block button ready to go. Apparently I can’t take pics or get excited about seeing people I haven’t seen in a while,’ he tweeted before deactivating her account.

‘I love my husband and only have eyes for him. Apologies for any disrespect. Men and women can be friends without it being sexual.’
