Coronation Street star Daniel Brocklebank urged fans to be wary after being targeted in an identity scam.
The actor, who plays Billy Mayhew in the ITV soap, took to social media to warn his followers about a Facebook account associated with him.
Uploading a statement to Instagram, Daniel wrote: ‘I do not have a Facebook account. If you’re interacting with me via Facebook it isn’t me.
‘Please report the account and block them.’
Identity scams aside, Daniel has been living his best life with his boyfriend Jordan Coulthard as they recently enjoyed a romantic holiday in Crete together, with soap star Dan documenting the trip online.
‘Crete you’ve been amazing,’ he wrote at the time, captioning the pictures. ‘My first time abroad since 2018 and it was worth the wait.” Jordan responded to the post, commenting: ‘Had the best time.’
The couple previously confirmed their romance when they were spotted together at Lytham festival in June, with former EastEnders star Cheryl Fergison having posted pictures of the two.
Daniel subsequently went Instagram official with Jordan, with the two looking very happy as they posed for the snap.
Prior to that, Dan was in a relationship with his co-star, Rob Mallard, who plays Daniel Osbourne in the soap. The actors were dating for a number of months in 2017.
Daniel’s character Billy has been at the centre of a huge storyline in Corrie in recent weeks, after tying the knot with Paul Foreman (Peter Ash), who has been diagnosed with motor neurone disease.
In upcoming scenes, Billy is summoned to a meeting with the Bishop, who tells him that he feels it’s time he returned to work and thus he’s prepared to lift the suspension.
Billy can’t wait to tell Paul, but there’s heartbreak ahead, with Paul finding out from the MND nurse that he’s only got six to 12 months left to live.
