The alleged “Black Axe” internet romance scammers arrested in Parklands, Cape Town, in October 2021 are liable for extradition to stand trial in the US.
The Cape Town Magistrate’s Court ruled that they wait in Pollsmoor Prison for Justice Minister Ronald Lamola to make a final decision and sign off on the handover.
The magistrate, Ingrid Arntsen, said they had 15 days to lodge an appeal.
