Crypto investors are ‘more attractive and smarter’ than non-investors, study finds | #datingscams | #lovescams

People who invest in cryptocurrencies are viewed as “more attractive, smarter, and wealthier than non-investors,” according to a recent survey aimed at assessing whether investing in crypto makes a person more attractive.

Interestingly, more than three-quarters of respondents in the survey ‘Does Investing in Cryptocurrency Make You More Attractive?’ said that they are inclined to go on a date with someone if their dating app profile mentions cryptocurrency, as per the study by CryptoVantage.

Furthermore, the study’s results, in which 1,002 Americans participated, found that 50% of female respondents believe crypto investors are more attractive than non-investors. Meanwhile, 40% of male respondents believe crypto investors are more intelligent than non-investors.

Roughly 46% of respondents believe crypto investors are more desirable, while 42% consider they are smarter. 34% think that crypto investors are more affluent than non-investors.

Crypto ended more than 2 in 3 couples relationships

However, 69% of crypto investors who were polled stated that the decision to invest in a cryptocurrency was the reason for the end of a relationship.

According to the findings of the study:

“More than three-quarters of respondents would swipe right on someone who mentions being a crypto investor in the dating app, and 55% said they are more likely to go on a date or meet up with someone who invests in crypto.”

When asked whether crypto was used to make payments while on a date, 37% who responded claimed that they did use cryptocurrencies to make payments. About one-third of the respondents claimed that their spouse paid in cryptocurrency, while just 13% said that they both paid in crypto.

“Our survey results also indicate that crypto investors could be getting more matches on dating apps than others: About 76% of people said they’re more inclined to swipe right if someone’s dating profile mentions that they’re a crypto investor. People identifying as LGBTQ were ten times more likely to swipe right on those contenders, whereas straight people were six times more likely to do the same.”

However, not every profile of a crypto investor causes eyebrows to be raised for the right reasons: a little under 60% of respondents said that they had been the victim of a cryptocurrency fraudster on a dating app. This is not surprising, given Finbold’s report on romance scams costing Americans almost $350 million in 2021.

Finally, another study from April this year analyzing the relationship between the so-called “dark personalities” and attitudes towards cryptocurrencies and investing in them found that narcissists, sadists, and manipulators are attracted to crypto.
