Jimmy Barnes has revealed his wife Jane was robbed while on holiday in Europe.

The Australia singer, 67, revealed on Instagram Jane’s phone and money was stolen by pickpockets.

He then shared a photo of his wife holding a new phone and revealed she was able to claim for the loss of her items through insurance.

‘A bit of a travel update. @jane13barnes’ phone and some euros got pinched out of her bag. The good news… it’s all insured.’

‘While she lost all her photos, her favourites are posted on her socials. She’s back in action with new phone and an “e” sim, thanks to our high tech family and help back home. All’s well that ends well.’

Jimmy and Jane are currently travelling around Europe together.

The couple married in 1981 and share four children, son Jackie, and daughters Mahalia, Eliza-Jane and Elly-May.

In his memoir, Working Class Man, Jimmy revealed it was a case of love at first sight when he first met Thai-born Jane in 1979.

‘I’d met a lot of girls in my life, but no one had ever stopped me in my tracks like that girl did,’ he wrote.

‘She was way out of my class, but I loved her from the minute I saw her. Jane would change my life.’

At the time Jimmy, then aged 23, was dating his housemate Bernadette, and was also linked to a woman named Jan, whom he had been ‘seeing on and off for a long time’.

Despite this, Jane became the musician’s girlfriend shortly thereafter, and they ended up moving in together.

The family lived in France for much of the 1990s, before returning to Australia and taking up residence in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.
