If you have any doubt, just check them by asking for some information that your friend or family knows. Most importantly, you should not share sensitive information such as bank details, PAN card number, Aadhaar number, or any such details.
No matter who is sharing the random links, your known friend or some unknown person, never click them. Most of the malicious links come from some large group on your WhatsApp, ensure that the link is legit and does not pose any threat. There is a possibility that your contact got the link from somewhere else and in view of a good offer or discount, that link has been shared further.
