‘Light in my life:’ friends describe Tulsan killed in Colorado Springs shooting | #datingscams | #lovescams | #facebookscams

One of Tulsa’s own was gunned down late Saturday night at Club Q in Colorado Springs.

Daniel Aston was one of five people fatally shot. He worked at Club Q as the bar supervisor.

A fellow bartender at Club Q took cover during the shooting. Michael Anderson still can’t believe his friend was taken.

“He was the bar supervisor, and he was the best supervisor anybody could have asked for. He made me want to come into work, and he made me want to be a part of the positive culture we were trying to create. Amazing person. He was a light in my life and it’s surreal that we’re even talking about him in the past tense like this,” Anderson said.

In Tulsa, the owner of Club Majestic said Daniel was a customer and impacted many in positive ways.

The news is devastating to people who knew Daniel.

“There’s just no excuse for it. A lot of people love that kid,” said David Dees, owner of Club Majestic.

Club Majestic hosted a candlelight vigil on Sunday night to honor Daniel.

“It makes no sense, but unfortunately there’s going to be a lot of lives changed because of it,” Dees said.

While in Tulsa, Daniel worked at Elote.

The restaurant posted to Facebook just how much he meant to them.

A GoFundMe has been set up for the victims of the shooting at Club Q.
