New scam pretending to be electric company #nigeria | #nigeriascams | #lovescams

Singing River Electric is warning its clients of scam calls.

You may receive a call from someone who claims to be an employee at Singing River Electric who needs you to pay your electricity bill or face termination of electricity.

This is not real. Scammers use fear tactics like a missed bill to get you to send them money. Signs of a scam include demanding money and asking for personal information over the phone.

If you receive a call like this, hang up immediately and call any Singing River Electric location. Singing River Electric PR Amanda Parker said, “Don’t make scammers make you panic. You have time to hang up and to verify your bill. To do that, we have three ways. You can check your billing information and your billing status on our SmartHub app, you can call any Singing River Electric office to verify your payment information, and you can also text an MSR during business hours to verify your account info.”
