TikToker shares her ‘scam’ of a wedding video: ‘I’m crying for you’ | #lovescams | #datingapps

A newly married bride was stunned when she watched the fully edited wedding video she received from her DJ — and not in a good way.

According to TikTok user Brooke (@brookekcovey), the DJ promised a 4K, high-resolution video with professional editing. Instead, she got a highly pixelated video with amateur-looking edits, shaky camera work and a ton of missing footage.

While shocking wedding footage has gone viral before — like this groom’s “disgusting” wedding vows captured by his videographer — Brooke’s video is forcing people to really research their potential videographers.

The video even changed the music she walked out to during her ceremony to something she would never have chosen.

“WTF is that?” the TikToker asks in disbelief while playing it back.

As the footage continues to roll, things only get worse.

“The audio doesn’t match,” the bride points out. “What we’re saying has nothing to do with our mouths moving. He didn’t even mic us.”

Another sticking point was the cost. When the bride and groom initially booked the DJ, the additional videography package was between $800 and $ 1,000.

“He said the only reason it would be $1,000 is if he mic’d us,” Brooke explains in the clip. “And he didn’t even mic us and ended up charging us $1,200.”

At one point, the bride fell while leaving her ceremony, but the DJ seems to have made no attempts to edit that out.

The video botched other special moments, like the bride and groom’s first dance, which was grainy and shot from afar. During their reception exit, which included sparklers, the couple’s photographer asked them to do it twice to get some additional shots — but instead of editing out one of those walks, the DJ left both of them in, which made the whole thing look a bit awkward.

As for confronting the DJ about the quality of his work, Brooke said that didn’t go too well.

“He said that this is the best work he’s done, he spent 30 hours editing this, he put a lot of work into this, he’s never had a complaint and so, he doesn’t feel it’s as bad as we say it is,” Brooke shared.

In addition, the DJ told her that he should have charged the couple $4,000 for the amount of work it required.

“I just want to know everyone else’s opinions,” she said at the end of the clip.

Right away, it was clear she came to the right place. Comments quickly flooded the post, which now has over 857,00 views, as many people said they couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

“As someone who works in the wedding photography industry I’m crying for you,” one person wrote.

“did he use a RING camera?” asked someone else.

“It looks like security camera footage!” added another person.

One TikToker asked why he filmed the wedding like an episode of The Office, while another said the font looked straight out of a Teen Mom clip.

But the bottom line, they all agreed, was that this was definitely not quality work.

“Small claims court!” one person suggested.

“He should have paid YOU,” added another.

At least one person came in with another solid suggestion, asking the bride if she could request raw footage from the event so another company could re-edit it. At this point, that might be her best bet.
