Since the June tornado, FEMA has approved more than $1.5 million in grants to homeowners and renters in the City of Moss Point.
$1.3 million of that went to housing assistance and $241,000 have gone to other needs.
More than 600 home inspections have been completed and in total, the Disaster Survivor Assistance 4,800 homes.
FEMA is slowly moving out of the area as it recovers, but you can still apply for assistance through a grant or loan.
They are asking everyone to stay vigilant against FEMA scams. If anyone shows up at your home claiming to be a FEMA worker and asking for financial information, it is a scam.
FEMA workers do not need to know your financial information to help you.
