The Dasher app will tell them exactly where to go so they can stay on time and make sure your order is fresh. Once they arrive at the restaurant, they go to the counter and provide an order number. How Does DoorDash Work for Restaurants?
When a restaurant signs up for DoorDash, its existing customers get a new way to experience the food they love. Signing up also allows restaurants to attract new customers. If a restaurant wants to become a Merchant, it must apply through the DoorDash website. Once approved, the setup process begins.
During the setup process, the restaurant manager gets access to the Merchant Portal. Here, they can update their menu, location, and prices.
When ready to start receiving orders, the restaurant will choose how it prepares orders. The DoorDash orders can integrate into existing order software if that works best. Or, restaurants can use a special app on an Android tablet, or get a tablet from DoorDash.
