All the central characters in the documentary are from the real world. An efficient scammer is a Russian-Israeli man Shimon Hayut. The three women who come together to end his scams are CecilieFjellhoy, Pernilla Sjoholm and Ayleen Charlotte. The case covers multiple countries, and the incidents occur in many cities, including London, Rome, Barcelona, and Tel Aviv.
