Judge lowers bail for accused romance scam artist

The Cherry Hill man accused of defrauding a woman he met on a dating website may get out of jail before his next day in court.

Burlington County Superior Court Judge Thomas Kelly on Wednesday lowered William Allen Jordan’s bail from a full $45,000 to $20,000, with a 10-percent cash option. The judge cited that a sex assault charge at the time of his arrest had been dropped, leaving charges of theft and impersonation of a government official.
