When we talk about love, we often imagine ourselves sitting in a bar, locking eyes with someone across the room and eventually, summoning up the courage to say hello. Now, it’s simply swipe left or swipe right.

With 57 million Tinder users worldwide, those in search for their soul mate are worried that changes to our modern dating scene means we’ve lost our rom-com meet-cutes moments. In an undeniably interesting year, dating has moved from drinks at the bars to coffees at the park… with a 1.5 metre distance of course.

However, some argue that these apps are helping people find love faster, with dating profiles revealing more about people such as their religious affiliation, political views and climate change perspectives.
