As much as we love reality shows about relationships, they don’t always have the best track record when it comes to couples going the distance post-series.
In the case of 90 Day Fiancé, there is even more cynicism due to the premise of the show. It follows American men and their foreign fianceés, who are allowed in the US on a special 90 day visa. If they don’t get married within that time-frame, they must leave the country.

Many of the couples haven’t spent much time together in person before getting engaged, and family and friends of the grooms are always worried about the men are being taken advantage of.
But it’s been about six years since Season 1 first aired in the US, which is a good amount of time to see whether the relationships on the show were true love or not. And you might be surprised by how life turned out for these couples.
Alan and Kirlyam
Kirlyam had never stepped foot out of her small town in Brazil, which didn’t even have hot running water, when she moved to the US to marry Alan. They had only spent two weeks in person together before the move and Alan seemed to develop a jealous streak as soon as Kirlyam arrived in Los Angeles.
However the pair beat the odds to not only tie the knot, they are still together today. They also have a two-year-old son named Liam.
Russ and Paola
This couple met when Russ was in Columbia for work, but the challenges started for them when Paola moved to the US to marry Russ. They moved in with Russ’ parents and Paola struggled with their conservative nature.
Despite that, Russ and Paola are still together and have a son named Axel, who will turn two-years-old on New Year’s Day 2020. Paola has also become a model and recently transformed her look with long pink and orange hair.
Mike and Aziza
The fear Mike and Aziza wouldn’t work out were there from the get-go. Mike’s colleague Doreena was super cynical about the relationship, which began during online Russian language lessons. Meanwhile, Mike’s family and friends thought the fact Aziza had been rejected for a US work permit was a red flag.
Mike pushed those doubts aside and went on to marry Aziza after only spending six days in person together. And it seems the pair were in love after all because they are still together to this day. They have also expanded their family with baby girl Olivia Joan, born in 2019.
Louis and Aya
Louis and Aya’s 90 Day Fiancé journey kicked off in Episode 2 of Season 1. The couple met via online dating and after getting engaged, Aya moved from the Philippines to be with Louis.
Aya wasn’t always keen on staying in the US though, but made the compromise so that Louis could be near his two kids from his first marriage. Louis and Aya are still married and had a son in 2018. They announced they are expecting baby number two in a cute Instagram announcement posted in July earlier this year.
