And as Chloe looked down toward him she raised her hand to her mouth before bursting into tears of joy.

Samson popped the question before Chloe nodded enthusiastically and sealed the deal by kissing her new fiancee.

The pair first shot to fame on the controversial reality show which follows the lives of the ‘unique community’ of people living in the Berkshire town of Ascot.

In 2018, the series caused drama with locals as they decided to launch a petition for the ITVBe show to change its name.

A campaign was formed on the official parliament petitions website under the name: ‘False Advertising- ITV to rename show, as ‘stars’ are not actually from Ascot.’

Dazzling: Chloe too was quick to update fans as she delighted her followers with snaps of the ring against a backdrop of a bouquet of flowers

Dynamic duo: The couple later hosted a low-key engagement party where they playfully fed each other cupcakes

Memories: The TV personality made the announcement alongside a simple caption that read: ‘Such a special day, Love you forever’

The post stated: ‘TV show ‘Absolutely Ascot’ is a gross misrepresentation of a good area and many of its habitants are embarrassed by the recent advert broadcast on ITV.

‘Ascot is a sought after area to live in and many people are concerned that the programme will destroy its positive reputation.’

Most of the show’s stars hail from Essex and Slough but Absolutely Ascot’s Ellie Ball insisted that she had lived in the Berkshire village for six years.

Shortly after the petition was launched, cast members from the hit reality show, including Samson, appeared on This Morning with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford to defend the fact that the series is ‘real life’ and ‘not scripted at all’.

However, the cast of Absolutely Ascot ended up confusing viewers by explaining that they are ‘travellers’ but that they ‘don’t travel’.

The reality show saw a steady climb in ratings since its pilot in November 2018 with some episodes from season one raking in around 200k viewers.
