Celebs Go Dating‘s Jack Fincham has defended himself following the backlash to his behaviour on the E4 reality show.

The Love Island 2018 winner appeared on this year’s series of Celebs Go Dating, but viewers were far from impressed with his approach to dating, which earned him the lowest date score in the show’s history.

Defending his approach to the show, Jack told Closer magazine: “If I wasn’t getting on with someone, I wasn’t going to waste my time.

“I just didn’t meet anyone I liked and no-one looks good on a bad date. 99% of the time I was joking, but people didn’t get it. People always have an opinion of you.”

Revealing that he’s currently single at the moment, he added: “I learned a lot about myself when I was on the show. I just think I will know love when it comes along – something just clicks. We will see!”

Earlier this month, Jack defended himself against claims he was ‘rude’ to his dates, telling The Mirror Online: “People a couple of times were saying, ‘What you being rude for?’ But it’s not like that.

“It’s hard, you’ve got to think you’re having a date in front of the cameras two foot away.

“You know, I’m not a bad person. It was just a couple of dates and it wasn’t going to plan, so I’m not going to waste my time.”

Celebs Go Dating airs on E4.
