Kiara Advani is waiting to be swept off her feet

Kiara Advani had an amazing 2019, with Kabir Singh taking the box-office by storm and Good Newwz cementing her position in the industry. This year, the actress has four releases on the way, including Laxmmi Bomb, Shershaah and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. In June, Kiara was supposed to return to the screen with Indoo Ki Jawaani, a love story around an online dating app, opposite Aditya Seal. While the coronavirus pandemic has hit that plan for a six, Kiara hasn’t lost hope, be it for the film or for love in general.

Ask her if she has ever given such apps a try and she says, “No, I have never been on a dating app and now, it wouldn’t be convenient. Being a known person has its drawbacks.” What does love mean to her? “I am old-school when it comes to love. I like to be pursued and wooed, meet someone in more than a digital way. I am a die-hard romantic and believe in true love,” she gushes. But she doesn’t ignore the power of technology either. “It is the way forward. I know so many people who have met online and got married. So, it’s great wherever you meet your soulmate, medium doesn’t matter,” the actress is quick to add.

Her character Indoo, too, goes through similar romantic turmoil in reel life. “I play this small-town girl who is just discovering this online dating app. I can totally relate to her as our idea of love is quite similar,” Kiara admits.
