Limerick GAA star Cian Lynch has opened up about his relationship status.
The All-Star and All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship winner said that he is currently single- but he is looking for love.
The Patrickswell man, aged 24, admitted that it is hard to find a relationship when you are missing out on the social scene while focused on training, especially during the college years.
Cian added that not socialising in pubs and restaurant means there is a reduced chance of bumping into people in a natural setting.
Asked if he had a girlfriend, Cian told RSVP Live: “No, I am not so if there is anyone out there…
“It is difficult to find a relationship especially when you are missing out on nights out in college and the natural engagement of meeting people in a social setting.
“You never know who you might meet on a night out!”
Cian is not currently using online dating sites such as Tinder or Bumble but he is not ruling out using them to find romance in the future.
The midfielder joked: “I can’t say that I do and I have to let on that I don’t anyway [laughs].”
Cian is most recognisable for his fashion sense and his hairstyle is a bit out there too.
He bleached his red hair blonde while in lockdown earlier this year and he is under no illusions that his new look may have caused a stir.
The GAA favourite said: “I let my mother and my sisters at my hair during lockdown and they bleached it.
“I don’t know if it went down too well but I wanted to try it out for the craic anyway!”
Limerick Hurler Cian Lynch joined All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Sponsor Littlewoods Ireland to launch their new ‘Style Meets Substance’ campaign. Returning for the 4th year running as a top-tier sponsor, Littlewoods Ireland’s ‘Style Meets Substance’ campaign is a celebration of hurling people, their individuality, their love for the game and the joy of Championship.
