DETROIT – A woman was attacked and her vehicle was stolen earlier this month when she met up with a man through a dating app.
The Detroit Police Department is investigating the assault and carjacking that occurred around 11 p.m. on Dec. 2 on city’s west side, FOX 2 Detroit reports.
After meeting through a dating app, the woman picked up the man and another male suspect to hang out, police said. She was eventually asked to pull over. When she did, the man in the front seat punched her in the face and slammed her face against the window. He then told the man in the backseat to get her out of the vehicle. She was thrown to the ground and began running from the vehicle. One of the men threw her purse out before they drove away, police said.
Police found the vehicle, a black 2012 Chrysler 200, the following day but are still looking for the suspects.
