The pandemic has made dating difficult as people have to wait for months to meet in real life due to lockdown restrictions. Singles are still trying their luck to find a date for themselves.
A man, known as British Will, who appears to live in New York, decided to meet the women he had matched with earlier after he returned to the city very much single.
Will decided to send a message to 14 women whom he missed out on going on a real-life date with and offered them one now. However, he accidentally ended up sending the message to all of them at once – in a group chat.
“Hey stranger! We matched on Bumble last year but didn’t meet due to COVID. I just arrived back in the city and was wondering if you’re still single!? (British Will!),” he wrote in the message.
One of the women replied, “Ew did you just text 14 girls at once. Goodbye sir.”
Another woman said, “Hahahhahahah omg. Yes he did.”
It seems that things were going to get worse for Will as one woman said, “Also I went on a date with him, and he def catfished… just FYI” as another responded, “OMG same! HUGE catfish.”
Will eventually removed himself from the group which was renamed as “British Wills angels”.
The women then began to make plans to meet up and thank Will for bringing them all together, with one inviting everyone to her rooftop which would be “more fun than dating this loser”, as another said that the accidental group was “the best thing she has ever been a part of.”
Screenshots of the chat have gone viral on social media, with one user saying, “I love how women can become friends under awkward circumstances. Bathroom line, mutual hate for someone…”
