Normal People star Paul Mescal and Phoebe Bridgers are now believed to be a couple, after the pair were spotted out and about during a romantic weekend in London.
aul (25) is dating the American singer after she flew over to the UK to be with her new boyfriend over the bank holiday.
They were seen in Shoreditch where they were “chatting, laughing and quite tactile”, according to one person who saw them together. “They seemed to really savour their time together.”
Rumours that they were an item started swirling after Phoebe (26) told the NME magazine in May that she thought Paul was a “cute boy” after she had seen him in Normal People.
She recalled how she “got a little pitter-patter in my heart” after she followed him on Instagram and he followed her back.
They soon connected when the actor joined Phoebe for a vodcast for her Instagram Live and told her “I think it’s well documented that I love your music.”
Phoebe replied: “Well, that makes me blush” before they then spent the rest of the Zoom together after the Live was over drinking together.
The pair were also spotted enjoying breakfast together at The Lemon Leaf Cafe in Kinsale in June of last year, which delighted the establishment who tweeted: “Fan- Tas- Tic day thanks to @mescal_paul and @phoebe_bridgers for calling to our café this morning for breakfast. Such amazing talented young people.”
Months later, the rumoured couple were spotted at the exclusive Soho Farmhouse in England where onlookers told the Mail On Sunday that they were “all over each other”.
Paul has even appeared in the music video for Phoebe’s song ‘Savior Complex’, which was directed by Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
The video was shared on Phoebe’s official Facebook page, just days after Paul finally revealed that he has a girlfriend.
During an interview with GQ in November, the actor described his girlfriend as a “lifesaver”, but refused to name her.
