An undercover human trafficking sting has landed three men in jail on solicitation charges.
A McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office task force carried out the operation Thursday in partnership with officers from Algonquin, Cary, Crystal Lake, Huntley, Lake in the Hills, McHenry, Woodstock and the Illinois State Police.
The sting was planned and did not involve actual victims of sex trafficking, McHenry County State’s Attorney Patrick Kenneally said.
The investigation led to the arrest of three men: Christopher Becchetti of Crystal Lake, Kenneth Cramer of Ingleside and Jaskaran Singh of Wonder Lake.
Each of the men is charged in McHenry County court with solicitation of a sex act.
“Thank you to the police departments that participated in the task force and stepped up to begin the process of addressing this expansive problem throughout the county,” Kenneally said. “This was the first operation of its kind. There will be more.”
