LOWELL — Police took an incident report after graffiti related to President Donald Trump was found on a wall at the Christian Hill Reservoir.

Trump’s name, written in red paint, is followed by “2Q2Q,” written underneath in blue.

Further graffiti includes the letters and numbers “W.W.G.1” and “W.G.ALL,” followed by the letter “Q.”

Lowell Police Capt. James Hodgdon said an incident report was filed by police for tagging/defacing property. He added the city’s Department of Public Works was notified to remove the graffiti.

The meaning of the graffiti is unclear, though according to an Associated Press article in February, the letter “Q” represents QAnon, a right-wing, pro-Trump conspiracy theory.

QAnon centers on the “belief that Trump is waging a secret campaign against enemies in the ‘deep state’ and a child sex trafficking ring run by satanic pedophiles and cannibals,” the article states.

“What started as an online obsession for the far-right fringe has grown beyond its origins in a dark corner of the internet,” it continues. “QAnon has been creeping into the mainstream political arena for more than a year. The trend shows no sign of abating as Trump fires up his reelection campaign operation, attracting a loyal audience of conspiracy theorists and other fringe groups to his raucous rallies.”

The article further states QAnon believers commonly use the acronym “WWG1WGA” signifying the motto “where we go one, we go all.”
