A Portland man was indicted and arrested on suspicion of multiple sex offenses as part of a larger investigation into human trafficking, prosecutors announced Wednesday.
John Ivezic, 63, was arrested last week and booked on charges of sexual abuse, sodomy and purchasing sex with a minor, a spokesman for Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt said in a statement.
In February, Portland Police Bureau’s Human Trafficking Unit discovered a suspect who was trafficking a young teenager, prosecutors said. As part of that investigation, which resulted in a 10-year prison sentence for the trafficker, officials learned Ivezic had paid for sex with the minor in 2018.
Ivezic is next scheduled to appear in court March 1, according to court records.
