#sextrafficking | Victim of sex trafficking wants to prevent others from suffering same fate | #tinder | #pof | #match

For Gigi Phoenix, a woman tricked and forced into life as a sex slave, it all started with just a ride with a friend.

She was trafficked from Harlem to Connecticut, only told she was at a brothel “to work.” That meant seeing at least a dozen men.

Phoenix was punished for breaking house rules, which included going to a bathroom to wash up.

Now, she’s looking to help others avoid the same fate.

Last year alone, the NYPD rescued an average of one person a week from sex slavery, while working more than 200 cases… and those are the ones we know about.
