Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc., and other leading hotel chains won’t face claims they knew about and did nothing to stop sex trafficking at some of their Georgia franchises, a federal court in the state said.
Jane Doe’s “shotgun” complaint didn’t adequately allege the companies knew or should have known that they received benefits from franchisees’ alleged participation in human trafficking, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia said Tuesday.
