SUPER #STALKER #Instagram update adds ‘questions’ feature that nosy people will LOVE – here’s how it works

INSTAGRAM has added a new feature that lets you ask for (and respond to) questions through your Stories.

It’s live starting today, and we’ve got a full guide on how it works, and how you can create your own.

Instagram questions will appear in your Stories.

What are Instagram questions?

Starting from today, you’ll be able to put out a call for questions on Instagram.

The call-to-action will appear in your Instagram Stories, and will give your followers a box to type a question into.

You’ll be able to see all of the questions you’ve been sent, and then given the option to respond.

Your responses go straight back into your story, where all your followers will be able to read what you’ve said.

You’ll be able to see any of the questions asked by your followers.

The whole idea is to get people interacting more through Stories, which is a big focus for Instagram.

After all, it’s Instagram’s way of tempting people away from rival Snapchat – and it seems to be working.

Instagram Stories now has twice the number of users compared to Snapchat Stories, and six times the growth.

Recent improvements to Instagram Stories include the addition of GIFs and polls.

Questions are the latest bid to kill off ailing Snapchat – which lost more than $300million last quarter – for good.

How to ask questions in Instagram

First off, make sure you’ve got the latest version of the Instagram app – check your App Store for any updates.

Then simply follow these steps:

  • First, take a photo or video in Instagram – just like you would when posting a Story
  • Then open the sticker tray (the smiley icon in the top right corner)
  • Choose the question sticker from the list
  • Next, type out your question prompt
  • Place it wherever you like on your Story
  • Then simply share your Story

When your friends see the question sticker, they’ll be able to tap to reply.

They can reply as many times as they want, directly from the sticker.

You’ll be able to see your friends’ responses in your Story’s viewer list.
