The sister of the murdered Amanda Carroll speaks to the murderer… | #tinder | #pof

A murderer who strangled his three-month-old partner in her own bed was approached directly by his victim’s sister today, who said to him, “May God not have mercy on your soul.”

Sandra Carroll made a statement in the Central Criminal Court about the impact of the emotional victim in which Sean Nolan was imprisoned for life for the murder of her sister, Amanda Carroll.

Previously, another sister of the victim, Antoinette Carroll, also spoke to Nolan on the stand and raised her voice to say, “I can say as a family that if we get the word sorry or show a little remorse, it could be the big one make loss a little easier ”.

Nolan then threw himself off the dock and replied, “I’m sorry”.

At this point, another sister of the victim Amanda Carroll started crying loudly in the body of the courtroom, and the judge instructed the court to stand up for 15 minutes.

Nolan, 36, with an address in Ashington Crescent, Navan Road, Dublin, was arrested last week by a majority jury ruling for the murder of Ms. Sentenced October 21, 2018.

The electrician had pleaded guilty not of murder, but of manslaughter. During the trial, it emerged that the couple had met on the Tinder dating app three months earlier and Nolan had Amanda Carroll’s name tattooed on his hand while she had his name tattooed on her chest.

The trial heard that they had been “binge drinking” in various locations in Dublin on the day Ms. Carroll died.

Detective Inspector Aidan Flanagan agreed with District Attorney Shane Costelloe SC today that Ms. Carroll’s family had expressed “sadness and disappointment” resulting from the criminal case which they said was not the full picture of the deceased.

Mr. Costelloe said that Ms. Carroll is a “loving mother, wonderful sister, and valued family member” who cares for her father and looks after her two children.

“Ms. Carroll’s family was very careful to have this communicated to the court and not just to be viewed through the prism of October 21,” he said.

Judge Michael MacGrath today sentenced Nolan to life imprisonment for the murder of the mother of two children. The verdict was postponed until October 21, 2018 when he was taken into custody.

When Judge MacGrath delivered the verdict, he said the senseless death of Ms. Carroll brought “great tragedy,” grief, and sorrow to her family and everyone who knew her. The statements read to the court about the victim’s impact showed how much she was loved as a mother, daughter, sister and friend and how much she is missed by everyone but no more than her two children, the judge said.

Mr Justice MacGrath said that Dennis Carroll had presented evidence at the trial and had noticed that he was a young man of great courage and that there was no doubt that he and his younger brother would miss their mother very much. He expressed the condolences of the court to all members of Ms. Carroll’s family and friends.

The defendant and Ms. Carroll were involved in a street collision a few hours before the 33-year-old died, and both fled the scene before being intercepted. Nolan’s blood was drawn because of concerns that he would drive alcohol or drugs. After the couple had been held in the Mountjoy Garda Station for a few hours, the couple’s drinking lesson continued into the night.

When the couple returned to Ms. Carroll’s apartment that night, Nolan put one hand on the mother of two’s neck and the other over her mouth after saying she called him by her ex-boyfriend’s name and said she did never loved him and tried to hit him.

“I was mad. I just wanted her to fall asleep and stop, ”said Nolan Gardai.

The jury rejected the defense’s claim that Nolan was too drunk to intend to murder his girlfriend, Mrs. Carroll, and that what happened to the mother of two was an “accidental death”.
