Tinder’s New Concierge Is the “Pimp My Profile” of Today’s Dating World
Sick of swiping and not getting the matches you’d like? Well, it turns out your profile might be trash. However, all hope is not lost because Tinder has begun advertising a “Concierge” service to help you craft the perfect profile.

Some users reported receiving a new ad while checking into Tinder on Tuesday. The dating app revealed that they are preparing to unveil a fresh, new service to help you get your profile in tip-top shape — for a price, of course. The bougie-looking pop-up advertisement features a stretch limo rolling up to an old, ornately-decorated building, urging users to “have a taste of the good life.”
For 20 bucks, Tinder’s Concierge will hook you up with a team of experts who’ll perfect your profile. It’s unknown, however, if these so-called “experts” are real human beings or just an expertly-crafted AI trolling your social media profiles for pertinent information about you. Will this service be geared more toward men or women? Will it be helpful for users across the wide and varied LGBTQ+ spectrum, or only those who identify as cisgender and straight?
Or maybe, as one redditor joked, they’ll just have rapper Xzibit come and take over your profile for a day, a la “Pimp My Ride.”
“We’re always thinking of ways to help our members get the most out of their Tinder experience – and continuously test new ways to provide guidance, with the aim of helping them do just that,” a Tinder spokesperson told us after reaching out for more details.
Tinder’s other subscription services — Tinder Plus and Tinder Gold — are already widely available to assist users in getting a higher quantity (or quality) of matches. With Tinder Plus, users are treated to an ad-free experience, limitless swiping from anywhere ’round the globe with the ability to “Rewind” if you mis-swiped someone, among other features. Tinder Gold, on the other hand, allows users to see “top picks” that Tinder thinks would make a particularly good match, as well as the ability to see those who have already swiped right on you.
Both of these plans utilize dynamic pricing models, which means that Tinder can adjust the price based on your age, location and other criteria. Typically, there is an increase in price after a user reaches age 30 (as if the big 3-0 is enough of a blow to the ego), with some users paying up to $29.99 per month for the pleasure of using Tinder Gold.
Will you pony up the extra money if it means cashing in true love?
