Tinder recently swiped right on Lyft forming a partnership that will include a new in-app feature for users to impress their dates.
Whether you’re looking for a no-strings-attached fling or a serious relationship, you’ll soon be able to gift your date with a free Lyft ride. For users who already have the Lyft app downloaded, this may only be a small convenience as you won’t have to exit the dating app to send a ride.

After reaching a record-breaking amount of swipe activity at the beginning of this year (3.4 billion to be exact) and an increase in the number of user bios saying they actually want to “go on a date,” Tinder decided to find a way to help users slowly start in-person dating again.
“Like any relationship, it’s about the right place at the right time and there really is no better moment for our brands to work together,” said David Wyler, SVP of business development and partnerships at Tinder. “We’re excited to partner with Lyft and work on innovative solutions for our members who are looking forward to getting back out there.”
Lyft’s safety features will also be included in the Tinder in-app experience so you can feel comfortable as you head to your date, including the ability to share your location with family and friends, and silently request assistance through Emergency Help.
There is no firm date for when the new feature will be available, but according to a statement from Tinder representatives it will officially, “roll out in the coming months.”
