MADISON (WKOW) — A Wisconsin-based spice company is outspending Democratic candidates running for president in Facebook advertisements supporting the impeachment of President Trump.
Penzey’s Spices spent $92,000 on Facebook impeachment ads from Sept 29 through Oct. 5, according to data published by Bully Pulpit Interactive. This follows President Trump who spent $718,000 defending the impeachment investigation.
To compare, Democratic candidate Tom Steyer spent $86,000 and Senator Elizabeth Warren spent $20,000.
Penzey’s has spent almost $110,000 in the past week on ads about social issues, elections or politics, according to data made publically available by Facebook. The company has spent over $2.3 million on such posts dating back to May of last year.
