Don’t be fooled into thinking you’re too smart to be scammed | News | #datingscams | #lovescams

Shimon Huyut describes himself as a “gentleman not a monster”. Of course he does — how else would the man better known as the Tinder Swindler have charmed so many women into giving him what amounted to $10 million in an outlandish con?

In the hit Netflix documentary about him, we see how, like all expert scammers, Huyut operated by playing on ordinary human impulses. He reeled women in by giving them what they wanted — in this case, fairytale romance.

Breaking his silence in an interview last week, he said: “These women enjoyed themselves in my company, they got to see the world.” It is one of the few things he has said which is true. He denies that he acted fraudulently.
