Would be nice if they would do a law that shops cant scam you with price off sale with fake numbers. I have one shop that had Poco x5 pro for 345 and now is at 319 and they added 4 euro on the original price so they can have the cut cost for 30 euro. Never mind that they started to sell the phone as over priced for 2 months anyways.
There are other examples where they like cut the cost of a phone for 100 euro but the price is average in market so the phone on release didnt even cost that much.
Battery life misleading is weird as how do they proof it that it’s fake ? When these durations are mostly made for stand by and not active use of watching videos or playing games and then what games you play and what resolution videos you watch as if you watch 4K videos i imagine you use more internet speed and data that also drains battery faster or play some game that just is hungry for power.
Some people use a phone so much that they charge it at least once a day and then there are people who charge once in a week as they practically dont use it at all. one of my friends dad use so little that he’s battery duration is probably longer then advertised for OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite

Since this is not possible i just try to preserve as muchas i can by not wasting it for something useless like 3 hours of charging while i unable to use y device as i want because its get very hot while it charging.
If a 10 minutes of 300W charging makes my phone 100% ready for use while i eat breakfast, brush my teeth or make a quick shower its always better.
Maybe i dont know basic chemistry but you are tottaly ignorant to whole your life, family, friends, hobbies and many else you skipping by waiting eons for something useless like 3 hours of phone charging.
End of story.
Humans invented cars, trains, boats, planes kitechen robots many else usefull tools which are way faster than using just hands to perserve time.
Since time is a money faster is always better with charging is the same as i said above.
But feel free to ingnore whathewer you like i just dont care because its your way how you ruin your life not mine.

Battery life can solely be tested and certified by institutes and actual users. The EU should concentrate on health and safety of its citizens. And the recession around the corner.

Everything is gimmick and useless, only useful stuff is what xiaomi has.
He compares prices of xiaomi sold in China against european prices of other brands, but ignores xiaomi in Europe charges 100-150% more compared to same devices sold in China.
Mi 12 pro was €1200.
Mi 12T pro was €840.
Mi 13 is €1000.
Mi13 pro is €1400.
Final prices of these devices are not even €450.
With these prices, profit margin per unit is surely even above iphones. But somehow he thinks xiaomi earns 5% per device.

You are saying that slow charging makes phones hotter than fast charging? 🤣😂🤣
Phone charged at 10/12W will not be at 40/45/50 celsius. This is beyond impossible.
You can test any device. They are not even gonna pass 30 celsius.
While BBk and xiaomi phones are always above 45. Mainly xiaomi that reach near 60 celsius. This temperature is even hotter than phones powered by Snapdragon 810 while gaming.
My previous phone had support for 18, but my charger was 15W. Phone never got any hotter than 29 celsius. My current has 20W, it gets warmer, a bit.
You do not see and will never phones charging at 65, 80, 100, 120, 150, 200, 300W kept at 29-33 celsius.
Laptops have used charging over 60W for more than 10 years. My previous (had core 3rd gen cpu) had support for 90W. If you charge laptop everyday, be sure that in less than 15 months you need new battery.
By the way, tell us why chinese phones do not reach the value advertised. If brand says phone has 200W, should charge at 200W, not peak 170W that lasts 3s and then goes down to 80. Mix4 (120W) could not even reach 90.
It is weird redmi note with 68W that is only 10min faster than galaxy A54 that has 25W. 🤔

oofio2461, 4 hours agoThe EU should require 10 YEARS of software updates on phones, with no exceptions. 10 years is a bit too much, but mandating updates while the phone is still under warranty would already be a pretty good starting point. The EU can be hit and miss with their regulations, but this time around it seems like we’ll have a winner: it’s about time someone did something about this.
